It is a great honour to take over the captaincy of the men's club in Slade Valley.

We have an exceptional golf club, marked out from all others by the welcoming environment and the level of volunteerism and commitment to the club by so many members. We may be small in numbers compared to some of our neighbours, but we punch well above our weight because of the huge efforts of so many of our members who contribute without question when asked, and so often without being asked.

I would like to thank our great sponsors who support our club through thick and thin, our Greens staff who present the course in excellent condition for our members and visitors, our golf professional, Declan Leigh, who provides a range of services to our members, and Rose, our caterer, who looks after everybody upstairs in the bar and restaurant.

Finally, best of luck to all of our Team Managers and players who represent Slade Valley Golf Club so well, your time and efforts are much appreciated.
